City of Dunwoody begins summer concert series on June 8
Groovin on the Green concert series includes three free concerts at Pernoshal Park in Dunwoody.
Dunwoody, GA – June 3, 2019 – The City of Dunwoody will begin its “Groovin’ on the Green” concert series this Saturday, June 8 at Pernoshal Park, located at 4575 N. Shallowford Road. The series includes three summer concerts, which are free and open to the public.
“This is our second year for Groovin’ on the Green,” said Dunwoody Recreation Program Supervisor Rachel Waldron. “After seeing so many families come together to enjoy music in our newest park last summer, we knew we had to bring the concert series back in 2019.”
The concerts will run from 6 to 9 p.m. and include the following performers:
- Saturday, June 8 – Josh Gilbert Band: singer-songwriter band with an adult contemporary sound drawing from a spread of genres like Southern rock/pop and Americana to folk and country
- Saturday, July 13 – Emerald Empire Band
- Saturday, August 10 – The Wheelers: this concert will include a special back-to-school ice cream social
Food and drink trucks will be set up during the concerts. Families can enjoy yard games and giveaways, as well.
