Find a Park or Park Facility
With more than 180 acres of green space, Dunwoody residents and visitors, of all ages, can enjoy the many activities found in any one of the city's seven major parks. Dunwoody's parks are home to several major events each year and offer a variety of activities including skateboarding, tennis, and more.
As off June 15, 2020, Dunwoody parks and park amenities are open.
Due to the current increase of Covid-19 infections in DeKalb County, the City of Dunwoody has put into place a moratorium on all permit application approvals for rentals and special events beginning August 1- December 31, 2020. The City will monitor current infection rates monthly and may lift the moratorium prior to December 31, 2020. Thank you for your patience during these challenging times.

Brook Run Park
Located at 4770 North Peachtree Road, at 110-acres, Brook Run Park is the largest park in not only Dunwoody but the region. This signature park features includes a large children’s playground, 2-mile loop multi-use trail, skate park, dog park, community garden, and event pavilions. Dunwoody Senior Baseball is now proud to call Brook Run Park home. Parking for the baseball fields is located at Peachtree Charter Middle School at 4664 N. Peachtree Road, Dunwoody, Georgia 30338.
Donaldson-Bannister Farm
Located at 4831 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, this historic home, built in the 1870’s, and 5-acre property is available to view and enjoy by appointment or by reservation for events. The city has worked with Dunwoody Preservation Trust and completed the property and it is now open year round for picnics, strolls, and free play in the open lawn.
Dunwoody Park
Located at 5343 Roberts Drive, at 35-acres, Dunwoody Park includes a significant nature preserve with hiking trails, Wildcat Creek, a playground in the woods, and nature classrooms in the Dunwoody Nature Center.
Georgetown Park
Located at 4400 Dunwoody Park Drive, at 3-acres, Georgetown Park is just the right size for a signature playground connected by a multi-use trail to a central square area complete with a grand gazebo, bocce courts, and decorative artisan fountain.
North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center
Located at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, the North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center and 6-acre property is a multi-arts complex conjoined to the Dunwoody Library. The North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center offers programs and classes for art enthusiasts of all ages looking to explore the incredible world of the arts. The Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Players, and the Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild are all proud to call the North DeKalb Cultural Arts Center home.
Pernoshal Park
Located at 4575 North Shallowford Road, at 5-acres, Pernoshal Park includes a rental pavilion, bathrooms, basketball courts, a pickleball court, large open field area for play, and a connection to part of the Dunwoody Trailway.
Vernon Oaks Park
Located at the corner of Vernon Springs Drive and Vernon Oaks Drive, Vernon Oaks Park is a hidden gem tucked into a tree lined Dunwoody neighborhood. This pocket park features a walking trail, seating, and a stone spring house.
Windwood Hollow Park
Located at 4865 Lakeside Drive, at 11-acres, Windwood Hollow Park features a playground, two tennis courts, rental pavilion, nature trails, and an open meadow for free play.
Dunwoody Trailway
The Dunwoody Trailway is a 12-foot wide, multi-use trail which connects across three distinctive parks in the City of Dunwoody: Brook Run Park, Pernoshal Park and Georgetown Park. Covering an estimated 2.76 total miles, the Dunwoody Trailway offers loops, straightaways and curves providing walkers, runners, strollers and bikers with scenic passage through some of the city’s most peaceful and picturesque landscapes. Adjacent to the trail within Brook Run Park there is a children’s playground, an active skate park, a community garden, a dog park, a public pavilion and ample greenery for active and passive recreation. The Dunwoody Trailway connects the 100-plus acre Brook Run Park with the city’s newest outdoor amenity, Pernoshal Park. As the Dunwoody Trailway meanders through a tree-lined canopy and along boardwalks and bridges across a tributary of Nancy Creek, the multi-use trail leads to a series of workout stations and play structures situated along the trail within Pernoshal Park. Equipped with bicycle repair stations, the trail then leads to more outdoor adventures within Georgetown Park, a perfect place for a game of bocce, a relaxing stop at a pavilion or a newly built children’s playground furnished with comfortable shade awnings. In April 2019, the new pedestrian bridge over the north fork of Nancy Creek was completed. The 145-foot bridge connects Dunwoody’s Georgetown Community with Perimeter Center. Future plans for the trail incorporate connections to other parks in the city.
Alternatively, if you’re looking for a good on-street bike ride, check out the Jim Benson Bike Trail, an 8-mile marked bicycle route that begins and ends at Brook Run Park. Optional spurs and high traffic areas are marked on the route map.
