Food Truck Thursdays Begin with 10th Anniversary Celebration

Dunwoody leaders and founders will gather with the community to recognize the 10th Anniversary of the City during the first Food Truck Thursday of 2019.

Dunwoody, GA – April 24, 2019 – The City of Dunwoody, the Dunwoody Homeowners Association and other community partners will kick off Food Truck Thursdays with a special community celebration of Dunwoody’s 10th Anniversary on May 2.

The event runs from 5 to 9 p.m. with great food and free live music from Tribute- a celebration of the Allman Brothers Band.

At 6:45 p.m., we’ll take a few moments to recognize how far we’ve come in 10 years and share some sweet treats and giveaways.

“This is the perfect way to kick off our summer programming, while remembering how and why we became a city,” said Dunwoody Mayor Denis Shortal. “We are still a young city with a very bright future.”

Community partners taking part in the celebration include Dunwoody Preservation Trust, Chiefs Futbol Club, Spruill Center for the Arts, Stage Door Players, Dunwoody Woman’s Club, Dunwoody Community Garden & Orchard, Bike Walk Dunwoody, Treetop Quest, Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild and Dunwoody Nature Center.

Food Truck Thursdays, sponsored by the Dunwoody Homeowners Association, will continue through the spring, summer and early fall until October 24.
