City of Dunwoody Begins New Code Violation Reporting System

City of Dunwoody residents can now report and monitor code complaints using iWorQ on their mobile devices and computers.

Dunwoody, GA – February 12, 2019 – For the first time, code violations in the City of Dunwoody can be reported and monitored through a software application called iWorQ.

“This system directly connects residents with staff to address and resolve code issues more quickly,” said Dunwoody Community Development Director Richard McLeod. “It will help us keep Dunwoody beautiful and safe.”

iWorQ is designed to be simple, interactive and powerful. Code violations are submitted by going to www.dunwoodyga.gov/codeviolation or downloading the mobile app “iWorQ Service Request” and using the Agency Code of Dunwoody. Users will be prompted to create a login using their email address, or they can log in using their Facebook or Google account.

After a violation has been submitted, an email is sent to city personnel. The request will then be evaluated and turned into a Code Enforcement case, if necessary. The status of the request can be updated by city staff and viewed by the individual who submitted the request.

When reporting a violation, residents will need an address or description of the issue location, description of the specific issue, length of the time they’ve been aware of the issue and any information regarding previous compliance actions taken the by the city. They can also upload photos to support their case.

Residents can still call in complaints to Dunwoody’s Code Compliance Division at 678-382-6890. They can also e-mail complaints to compliance@dunwoodyga.gov. Complaints typically cover anything from parking violations to illegal signs.

All complaints are public record and subject to the Georgia Open Records Act. It is not possible to make an anonymous complaint through iWorQ. Callers can remain anonymous unless they wish to be contacted by compliance officials for follow-up.
