Dunwoody Police Celebrate Christmas for Kids
A total of 100 children were selected for the 2018 program
Dunwoody, GA – December 20, 2018 - Thanks to generous donations from citizens and community groups, the Dunwoody Police Department helped more children than ever during “Christmas for Kids 2018.”
The 10th annual toy drive was a collaborative effort made possible with support from I Care Atlanta and Stage Door Players.
“It’s wonderful to be front and center to watch this happen every year,” said Dunwoody Police Lt. Fidel Espinoza. “We’ve stayed in contact with many of the families who were with us in the beginning. Some of the kids are now in college and come back to visit us.”
A total of 100 children were selected for the 2018 program based on need. They celebrated the holidays early with a special program hosted by Dunwoody United Methodist Church.
“We look forward to continuing the tradition in 2019,” added Lt. Espinoza.
