Dunwoody Launches Parks Registration Portal

New online toolkit offers One Stop for park facility rentals and payments, as well as future event and class registrations

Dunwoody, GA – August 3, 2017 – The City of Dunwoody is streamlining the park facility rental and payment process through the launch of  the new Parks Registration Portal. Fully integrated into the city’s finance and accounting systems, the new Parks Registration Portal provides visitors with a one-stop resource for Dunwoody park facility reservations, rentals and payments. The new portal also includes features to accommodate future recreation programming needs such as class registrations and event sign-ups.

The City of Dunwoody has five rental facility locations throughout the city available for private parties, including birthdays, family reunions and corporate events.

The new portal, powered by an advanced software program from CivicRec, can be found by visiting the Parks and Recreation department page on the City of Dunwoody website. Through the portal visitors now will be able to reserve and pay for facility rentals online. Users will be asked to create an account, check facility rental calendar availability, choose their preferred facility, and enter payment information. Rental confirmations along with receipts and permits are emailed automatically to registered users who reserve a pavilion or park facility.

“The Parks & Recreation Department is very excited about the new application and believes residents will be pleased with the convenient functionality of the site,” states Rachel Waldron, Parks and Recreation Program Supervisor. “The new software is ready for use as the city plans future events, adds new facilities and expands park programming to include exciting classes, and sports leagues for participants of varying ages.”
