City of Dunwoody Government

The City of Dunwoody has a Council-Manager form of government. There are six Council Members and one Mayor who make up the Council as a whole.

Each member of council represents one of three districts in Dunwoody. Posts 1, 2, and 3 are positions that are voted upon by citizens from within the district the Council Member will be representing. Posts 4, 5, and 6 are elected by the city at-large, with each Council Member being elected to represent a given district.

Elections are held on a 4-year cycle and are staggered, with only half of the Council coming up for vote in any given cycle.
