City Manager

The City Manager is responsible for the effective administration and operation of all services for the city of Dunwoody. The City Manager manages the day-to-day activities of city departments and maintains necessary intergovernmental relationships with federal, state, and other local governments.

Special note about COVID-19The City of Dunwoody will begin a limited and phased reopening of city parks and Dunwoody City Hall beginning Monday, May 18. The City Manager provides professional leadership in the administration and implementation of the policies, goals and vision set forth by the Mayor and City Council. The City Manager is appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the City Council, and serves at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council.

The Dunwoody City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Eric Linton for the role of City Manager at the December 8, 2014 City Council meeting.

Mr. Linton is a Credentialed Manager with the International City/County Management Association, a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and is active in the American Planning Association, Georgia Planning Association, the Georgia City-County Management Association and the Association County Commissioners of Georgia.
