Trade Components

For a stand-alone project when no building permit is required, single trade component permits are appropriate. Examples of these projects include water heater, air conditioning, or furnace replacements; electrical and plumbing repairs; or alarm system and data line installations.

Review Process
Component permit applications can be issued over-the-counter. Additionally, component permits may be applied for online, by mail with a check for fee payment, but work cannot commence until the permit is issued by the city.

Fee Payment
You may pay your fees by Visa or MasterCard online or at City Hall, or by check or cash at City Hall. To estimate your fees, review the fee sections listed on the bottom half of the online application. Please check with our office for your exact fee amount based on the project.
