Dunwoody Municipal Court will resume holding hearings on June 16 under new safety protocols designed to guard against the spread of COVID-19. The court clerkâs office inside Dunwoody City Hall, 4800 Ashford Dunwoody Road, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays but will be closed to the public on Mondays and Fridays. On those two days, clerks will answer emails and phone calls remotely. New safety protocols will include social distancing, mandatory masks and temperature checks. Seating inside the courtroom at Dunwoody City Hall will be limited to provide six-feet of distance between parties. Masks and temperature checks will be required for defendants, attorneys and any other courtroom visitors.

Defendants with cases that had to be rescheduled when court closed have been notified by mail of new arraignment dates and times. Anyone with questions can email the clerk’s office: dunwoody.courts@dunwoodyga.gov.

Dunwoody Municipal Court has jurisdiction over violations of State law and local ordinances that occur within the city limits of Dunwoody.

To avoid late penalties, citation payments must be paid on or before your scheduled court date and time. If you are unable to pay your citation online, you must appear in court on your scheduled court date and time as indicated on your citation. If you have missed your court date, you are now in failure to appear status and payments must be made in person at the Dunwoody Municipal Court.

ATTORNEYS OF RECORD
Any attorney representing a defendant in this Court must first file an Entry of Appearance prior to the scheduled court date and time with the Clerk's office either in person or mail. The Clerk's office will also accept an E.O.A. via email as a PDF attachment to dunwoody.courts@dunwoodyga.gov.
Please do not mail or fax duplicate copies if you have previously submitted them via email.
In areas of conflict, the Court request notice at least 30 days prior to the scheduled court date and time. Concerning newly retained cases, the Court request a courtesy notice at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled court date and time.
The Clerk's office will respond to your request within 24 hours during normal business hours Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Probation Services
Dunwoody Municipal Court has contracted with Professional Probation Services to provide supervisory services for those individuals placed on probation by our court. Professional Probation Services monitors defendants who have been ordered by the Court to complete special conditions while on probation in addition to monitoring those defendants that have been ordered to pay fines and/or fees as assessed by the Court.
