Sub-Contractor
All subcontractors working on construction projects are required to obtain a permit. This includes plumbing, mechanical/HVAC, electrical, low-voltage electrical, fire alarm systems, and fire sprinkler systems. Subcontractors may submit their forms once the general construction permit has been issued via email to permits@dunwoodyga.gov.
Required Documents
- State license (as applicable), business license, and government-issued photo ID of sub-contractor if submitting with Dunwoody for the first time
- If there is a change of electrical power service, please also upload the Power Release Form
- If you are submitting licenses on behalf of another individual, you will also need a completed Authorized Permit Agent Form

Review Process
Fire alarm and fire sprinkler plans require fire safety review which typically takes up to 10 business days. Please submit electronic copy of the plans along with the application via email to permits@dunwoodyga.gov. All other sub-contractor permits can also be applied for via email to permits@dunwoodyga.gov.
Fee Payment
You may pay your fees (by check, cash, Visa, or MasterCard). If you would like to pay your fees online, a link can be emailed to you. To estimate your fees, you can review the Fee Schedule page. Please check with our office for your exact fee amount based on the project.
