Safety and Friendship in Education (SAFE)

Working to help keep our schools safe while forming lasting friendships with students, teachers and faculty.

The Safety and Friendship in Education (SAFE) program aims to keep our schools safe while forming lasting friendships with students, teachers and faculty at our local elementary schools.

As part of the SAFE program officers adopt an elementary school and drop by at least one time each week just to chat, be seen, and interact with the students. In addition, officers eat lunch with the students at their adopted school at least once a month as schedules permit.

All five of Dunwoody’s elementary schools are currently participating in the SAFE Program:

  • Chestnut Elementary School
  • Vanderlyn Elementary School
  • Dunwoody Elementary School
  • Austin Elementary School
  • Kingsley Elementary School
