Armed Robbery Arrest

On 04/13/2014 at 2234 hours, the Dunwoody Police Department responded to a pedestrian armed robbery at 4430 Tilly Mill Rd (Chateau at Dunwoody).

On 04/13/2014 at 2234 hours, the Dunwoody Police Department responded to a pedestrian armed robbery at 4430 Tilly Mill Rd (Chateau at Dunwoody).  The suspects, described as three young black males, approached the single female victim, stuck a gun to her back, and demanded her belongings.  The female complied and handed over her purse.  The suspects then took the victim’s car keys from her purse and stole her vehicle.  Just prior to the Dunwoody armed robbery, the Sandy Springs Police Department responded to a carjacking with a similar suspect description.
 
The following day, Dunwoody Detectives were able to track one of the suspects to the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta.  The suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of the Atlanta Police Department.  The victim’s stolen vehicle and property from both the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody victims, as well as, two handguns were recovered at the scene.  The suspect, Marquez Hodge, age 21, of Atlanta is charged by the Dunwoody Police Department with Armed Robbery and Theft by Taking a Motor Vehicle.  He faces additional charges in both Sandy Springs and Atlanta.  He is currently incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail.
