Purse Snatching at Perimeter Mall

On August 15, 2017 at approximately 1:30pm a female victim reported a strong arm robbery at Perimeter Mall, located at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road.

Incident: Purse Snatching at Perimeter Mall

Location: 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody, Georgia

On August 15, 2017 at approximately 1:30pm a female victim reported a strong arm robbery at Perimeter Mall, located at 4400 Ashford Dunwoody Road. The victim stated she was sitting on a bench outside the west Macy’s entrance and, as she put her phone in her purse, an unidentified male came from behind her, snatched her purse and ran towards the mall parking deck.

The suspect is described as a black male, “younger” in age (18-25), wearing a white shirt and grayish pants. He was last seen running toward the Dunwoody MARTA Station.

The victim’s purse was eventually recovered by Perimeter Mall security officers, and other items in her purse were recovered by MARTA Police Department officers. The victim’s Apple iPhone has not been recovered.
