Bank Robbery - Arrest

The suspect has been identified as John Alan Francis and has been charged with Armed Robbery. He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.

On March 29, 2016 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Dunwoody officers observed a male in the 4600 block of Ashford Dunwoody Rd that matched the description of the suspect from the bank robbery at PNC Bank on March 22, 2016. The suspect was positively identified using surveillance video and still images from the bank robbery. The suspect has been identified as John Alan Francis and has been charged with Armed Robbery. He is currently being held at the DeKalb County Jail.

On March 22, 2016 at 4:56 p.m. an unidentified suspect entered the PNC bank located at 125 Perimeter Center West, brandished a large black handgun and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.  The suspect was described as a 40-50 year old white male, light complexion, 5’08” – 5’10”, 160-170 lbs., medium length brown hair. The suspect was last seen wearing a short sleeve orange t-shirt, khaki pants, and brown construction style boots.
