Incident:   2015 Christmas for Kids Program
Date:         12-19-15
Location:   I CareAtlanta, 5879-B New Peachtree Rd, Doraville, GA 30340

Once again, the Dunwoody Police Department is doing its part to bring Christmas cheer to children in Dunwoody with its seventh annual Christmas for Kids (CFK) program. CFK began in 2009 with an idea to help Dunwoody’s less fortunate children by making their Christmas a little brighter. This year, the Dunwoody Police Department, local businesses, and the Dunwoody community are working together to collect new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children from newborn to fifteen years old.

On December 19th, children were invited to a private Christmas festival at ICareAtlanta (5879-B New Peachtree Rd, Doraville, GA) where the “magic” of Christmas came alive with food, fun, and games.  Of course, Santa and all his helpers were there to personally deliver the gifts to each and every registered child.

“The department and our community now have a long established tradition of partnering together to serve the needy children in Dunwoody each year.  We are partnering with ICareAtlanta to make this event even better.  Serving others is one of the best ways to celebrate this Holiday season.” said Billy Grogan, Dunwoody Chief of Police.

"Christmas for Kids is one of many special events in Dunwoody that showcases the warmth and generosity of this community," said Lieutenant Fidel Espinoza, Dunwoody Police Department. "CFK brings our community together to bring so much joy to many deserving children. It is a pleasure to once again reach Dunwoody’s less fortunate children and make their Christmases a little brighter".
