Burglary Arrest

The Dunwoody Police Department has arrested 22 year old HT Smith for Burglary(F). Due to a courageous and alert homeowner, officers were dispatched to 4909 Hidden Branches Drive in reference to a burglary in progress.

Dunwoody Police Capture Burglary Suspect

The Dunwoody Police Department has arrested 22 year old HT Smith for Burglary(F). Due to a courageous and alert homeowner, officers were dispatched to 4909 Hidden Branches Drive in reference to a burglary in progress. The homeowner woke up and found the back door open with electronics staged by the door. The victim saw a silhouette of the perpetrator inside of her home but remained calm and walked to the bedroom to call 911. When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot from the home. Officers quickly surrounded the area, located the suspect, and arrested him without incident. The suspect was charged with Burglary(F) and Obstruction(M).

We are currently investigating to determine if he has committed any other burglaries or thefts inside the City of Dunwoody. Mr. Smith was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.
