he Dunwoody Police Department was saddened by the tragic events which unfolded yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Dunwoody Police Department was saddened by the tragic events which unfolded yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of this terrible act of violence as well as the entire Boston community.

I am sure many citizens in the Dunwoody community are concerned about any potential threats to our area.

At this time, there are no known threats to our community. However, we are on heightened alert and will be hyper-vigilant in our security efforts, especially during any upcoming public events in Dunwoody.

We are working closely with the FBI, Atlanta Division and the Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISAC) by reviewing their situational reports and monitoring any potential changes to the threat level for our area.

We strongly encourage all citizens to contact 9-1-1 if they observe any suspicious activity so our department can investigate. We encourage all citizens to participate in the Department of Homeland Security initiative:  "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign.
For more resources on how to report suspicious activity, visit our Crime Tip pages.
