Officer Involved Shooting

The Dunwoody Police Department has arrested Robert Goodman, age 20, for Theft by Receiving (F), Aggravated Assault against Officer- 2 counts (F), Aggravated Assault (3rd party), Hit & Run- 4 counts, Damage to Government Property 2-counts and Possession of Tool used in the Commission of a Crime.

 

At 3:12 pm officers responded to a auto theft in progress at 120 Perimeter Center West.  When officers arrived on scene they attempted to make contact with the suspect at which time the suspect attempted to flee from officers.  The suspect struck two civilian vehicles and two police vehicles in the parking lot then drove towards a uniformed officer, at that time a Dunwoody officer discharged his firearm to protect the lives and safety of police officers and pedestrians in the area.  There have been no reported injuries at this time.
