RFQ 13-02 Professional Services for Pedestrian Safety Study
The purpose of this study is to evaluate school walking routes and uncontrolled or unprotected crosswalks throughout the city and recommend improvements to enhance pedestrian safety. In recent years, the city has invested in a number of sidewalks and pedestrian safety improvements to improve pedestrian access. The city has also assisted with the Safe Routes to School program and has worked to improve pedestrian facilities around schools. With basic infrastructure planned or already in‐place, the city’s goal is to further implement best practices for pedestrian safety.
